Our Services

The Extra Daughter focuses on supporting older people who just need a little help, transport or company. We are not a “personal care” provider, although with extensive background in purchasing domiciliary care packages, we are happy to support you in finding “personal care” support if needed.

Our aim is to provide what ever support you need at home to maintain your independence. We are open to discuss whatever you needs are.

Groups are kept friendly and relaxed, with three to four people per trip. You can book as a group with friends or family, or come along solo and join the pack.

Each outing lasts around three to four hours, with destinations varying each week.

Please note: entry tickets, memberships, food, or drinks aren’t included in the trip price, but we’ll keep all costs transparent and provide receipts so you only ever pay what we pay.

These trips are a wonderful way to get out and about, explore the local area, and enjoy great company along the way.

  • £10 per week

Sometimes we just need to talk someone’s ear off. We love a good natter, so our weekly chin wag can be used to open up our other services, or on their own. Because twenty minutes off loading is so good for the soul.

A great pick me up for those who love to put the world to rights

  • £5 per week

If you have family who worry about you, or are just plain nosey, we offer a great newsletter service to provide updates on how you’re doing and what you’re up to.

This service really suits those who are too busy out and about, unable to, or plain just don’t want to update family themselves.

We can pass on details of appointments, medication updates, and property concerns, as well as any other worries you might have. This is all done at your say so, so you only share what you want to.

  • £32 per hour (shopping together)
£28 per subsequent hour (shopping together)
    £25 per delivery (delivery only)

Shopping can be a chore when it’s for the boring things. We will happily take your shopping list and do the leg work for you, bring it back, deliver it to your cupboards and remove any lurking forgotten, out of date items. This works particularly well for anyone with memory concerns, avoiding any unpleasant food poisoning mishaps.

Alternatively, we can shop together, at you pace, letting you see what looks good for yourself.

This service can be long term for ongoing support, or as a short term solution through bad weather or illness.

  • The Village Green – a gentle, joyful space where generations come together.

We are working on a weekly coffee, cake and community meet, where generations break bread and take time to share conversation.

The Village Green will be a day centre come playgroup, where those feeling isolated, can come and enjoy the company of others. Welcoming older adults and families with young children, it's not a typical day centre or a regular playgroup – it's something special.

Here, cups of tea are shared between neighbours, stories are passed from one generation to the next, and toddlers bring energy and smiles to those who enjoy a slower pace.

We will offer relaxed activities for older guests, a safe and stimulating space for little ones, and a sense of true connection for everyone who walks through the door. Whether you're popping in for company, conversation, or just a change of scene – there's always a seat for you here.

Because we believe that community grows best when it's shared.
